Since I have yet to find words to describe how I feel about Saturday's football game against Maryland, how about we talk about basketball?
The Tar Heels opened their season Saturday against UPenn, whom they beat 86-71 despite being a little bit shakey in the opening matchup.
Tomorrow Carolina will face Kentucky, who may be the only team out there that had a worse Saturday than Carolina football: the Wildcats lost their home opener to VMI by 8 points. Kentucky had not lost to VMI since 1922. It sounds like Carolina should be able to get by without Tyler Hansbrough tomorrow.
