The opening ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics were amazing. -- AMAZING. However just when I gave the Chinese credit for being the greatest fireworks masters of all time--ahead of the magical pyrotechnics at Disneyland--I found out that the fireworks broadcast back to the US were not 100% real. They were digitally enhanced. In fact, some of those glorious fireworks that we, the viewers at home, saw lighting up every nook and cranny of Beijing were actually filmed a year ago.
China, I'm disappointed. Luckily that part of the opening ceremonies with the printing press blocks makes up for your digitally enhanced fireworks, so we're still cool.
OK, back to watching the Olympics now...
