Chapel Hill's Little Civil War

Chapel Hill's Little Civil War
The News & Observer wrote a story yesterday about a fierce property dispute between a Southern land tycoon and a Northern business owner. Okay, so it's two individuals disagreeing with each other, right? Wrong! It's another Civil War!

"[The barrier is] a line of railroad timbers cutting across a parking lot off West Franklin Street. ... Symbolically, it's a miniature Mason-Dixon line."

"Maybe there’s a difference between the way the people from the New York area do business and the way people from the South do business."

Leave it to an overly enthusiastic journalist to construct an exaggerated metaphor...

Additionally, the article quotes one of the men calling the other a "Scum Dropper," which is now my new favorite insult.
