Prostitutes are not legal in Madrid, but they are far from ignored. Recently, residents in a certain part of the city began campaigning to get the ladies of the night out of their neighborhood, but the women fought back. In order to draw awareness to their cause (prostitutes are generally tolerated in Spain) the streetwalkers took to the runway and put on a fashion show to prove "that they are capable of doing other things too."
