You’re out with your friends on a Saturday night, did a little pre-gaming, grabbed some dinner at Jimmy John’s and finally get to Skeeps (Scorekeepers). You open up your wallet and realize that you already blew all your money on that fifth of SoCo and turkey sub, and don’t have enough money for the cover charge. You don’t have time for a part time job and your family doesn’t come from Los Angeles, so how are you going to come up with the money to go out regularly? Well I’ll tell you, psych studies.

I have only recently discovered the beauty and simplicity of these studies that pay anywhere from $10-20 an hour. All you have to do is go to East Hall, pull off a few tabs, send out a few emails, and show up. The tasks are usually just filling out surveys or doing stuff on a computer, it takes absolutely no mental commitment. I’ve been showing up to about two studies a week over the past month and have $100 in my desk drawer to show for it, and that’s just what I didn’t spend.

I really don’t know how money gets any easier, so I advise you all to take advantage of this opportunity. This is the equivalent of your bullshit summer job where you stare at your desk all day and get paid for it, only now you get to choose when you work, and are most likely getting paid more. College life comes at you fast and you’ll be shelling out money faster than you know on food, beer, liquor, bars, fake I.D’s, and membership dues for greek life or other social clubs. So start saving up.
