Back in January, I wrote about a northern business owner and a southern landlord quarreling over the use of several parking spaces. This tiff inspired an over-zealous journalist to proclaim not only that a miniature Civil War was taking place in Chapel Hill, but also that a Mason-Dixon line had been erected in the disputed parking lot.

Well, the war has finally concluded - the south is victorious.

The owner of 3Cups, a local coffee shop Franklin St, has shut down from the severe parking constraints imposed by the landlord. Will the north rise to fight again? Well, no, but the owner is looking for a new location. Perhaps he will be drawn to one of the much less drama-inducing spots in Carrboro. And let's face it - Franklin St has enough coffee shops already.
