Ken Shamrock, a UFC hall-of-famer and former WWE wrestler, tested positive for three steroids today. He has been suspended for a year.

First steroids ruined baseball, then the summer Olympics and now UFC? And to think, finally the world had a sport that seemed so pure--what could be more natural than two guys beating the crap out of each other?

What's next? Golf? Don't do it, Tiger.

Except the fact Ken Shamrock hasn't fought for UFC in years and nobody in the UFC recently has tested positive...

This was for a completely different organization, not the UFC. MMA does not equal UFC. Please get it straight and don't start propaganda about how the UFC is full of roiders when it is not. Posted 03/12/2009 03:55 AMReply

Yes dipshits we all know ufc does not equal mma. But Shamrock fought in the UFC as recently as 2 years ago. And does anyone think he ONLY did steroids recently?? Come on... If he got caught now, he's been doing them for years. Which would mean it's a fair assumption to say he was on steroids when he fought in the UFC. So NOT a bad post. Good post. Tim Sylvia - At the time the UFC's unbeaten heavyweight champion, tested positive for Stanozolol.

Ok, let's get real on a couple of things. 1) We all should know that UFC does not equal MMA. UFC is to MMA what the NFL is to football. MMA is a sport and the UFC is an organization.

Now that, that is out of the way...

2) The UFC "IS NOT" clean and "IS" full of athletes on steroids and growth hormone, many of which are finally getting caught (Sherk, Leben, Bonnar, Parisyan, Franca, Sylvia, Barnett, etc). The list will continue to grow.

If they every decide to take hair samples for testing, the number of UFC fighters that test positive will be staggering. Lesnar for certain. Look at pictures of him prior to college and pictures during college. Even his hands and head continue to grow (side effect of HGH). He now wears a size 5XL glove. No amount of lifting in the world increases your bone structure, please use common sense to figure that out.

Challenge to those that aren't educated on roids, HGH, and the human body...show me any human being that looked remotely like Lesnar, Arnold, or Lou Ferrigno prior to 1959. 1959 is when the first anabolic steroid was synthesized and available for medical use. If you chalk it up to lifting methods and diet, you clearly don't lift weights or understand nutrition either!

I thoroughly enjoy MMA, but am not about to be naive enough to think that roids and HGH are not rampant amongst competitors. Posted 05/01/2009 6:07 PMReply
