Today five high school seniors signed National Letters of Intent to play basketball at UNC-Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels will need a strong incoming class after the majority of their starters graduate and/or move onto the NBA after the 2008-09 season. Here is a look at the new recruits:
John Henson, 6' 10" 200 lb. power forward from Tampa, FL

Strengths: good in transition, can shoot from beyond the three point line and from in the lane, good decision making and passing skills, good attitude
Weaknesses: needs to pack on some muscle
Leslie McDonald, 6' 4" 195 lb. shooting guard from Memphis, Tenn.

Strengths: speed, good midrange shot, good defensive play, team player, turned down Duke
Weaknesses: needs to work on consistency of three point shot
Dexter Strickland, 6' 3" 175 lb. point guard from Rahway, NJ

Strengths: all around good play, explosive, good in transition, able to draw fouls, can get to the net when passing isn't an option
Weaknesses: needs to work on consistency of three point shot and patience on offense
