Labor Day weekend usually means most of UNC-CH's campus is heading out to the beach or back home to do laundry, but for those staying in Chapel Hill, here are the sporting events going on this weekend.  Did I mention that Saturday officially kicks off football season?

Friday

Men's Soccer vs. Florida International University, 7:30 p.m., Fetzer Field

Carolina Men's soccer will kick off their season this Friday against Florida International University.  The game is part of the annual Carolina Nike Classic.  The Heels are ranked No. 24.

Saturday

Football vs. McNeese State, 6 p.m., Kenan Stadium (duh)

Sure, football at UNC isn't quite what basketball season is, but we're quickly emerging from our string of losing seasons.  Even though we may not necessarily be "good" until this next season, at least this year we won't be "bad."  No matter what though, football games are fun.

Sunday

Men's Soccer vs. VCU, 4:30 p.m., Fetzer Field

Carolina's other game of the Carolina Nike Classic will be against Virginia Commonwealth University.
