Unimaginative Chant Theft

Wake Forest won the NCAA championship in soccer today. If you caught the game, you noticed the fans in Cary cheering WAKE – FOR’ST (like we do TAR – HEELS). Imitation is, of course, the highest form of flattery. But I don’t know how I feel about them stealing our mojo (the chant obviously leads to victory – even when South Carolina does it) or about eliding “Forest” into one syllable.
