University of Michigan's Best Bets, Part XI: Football Pre-Games

Sober people make bad decisions too, so drink away!

With a three week break between home games, it seems like the right time to discuss who has put on the most impressive sh*t-show for Saturday mornings over the past two home games. Some people such as myself may be biased, seeing as how I’m pretty much at the same one for 3-4 hours. However, I am confident that there are many of you out there, particularly freshmen, who have taken the time to hop from pre-game to pre-game and gain some perspective on the best ones. I’m going to throw out a laundry list of options, some of which may not even exist, so please let me know if an option needs removal or if I’m leaving someone out.

There are a variety of factors that should be considered when making your decision. The pre-game you choose should show strong dedication and commitment to the pre-game. The time they start in the morning is a pretty good indicator. Creativity is another important factor to consider because anyone can drink a beer. Having 3-story high crazy-straw beer bongs shooting down jungle juice is good for both display and getting f*cked up fast. Quantity of people and alcohol are also critical. No one likes standing in a keg line (circle) for 20 minutes only to have some sorority girl come straight to the front and get a pour. More kegs, shorter lines. More beer, less memory of losing to Appalachian State, Oregon and Utah. The formula works. Having said that, here are your options for best Saturday morning pre-games for Fall of 2008:
