OTR reported earlier on the stabbing of freshman football player Trenton Hughes. There is now an update on the story.

According to the Diamondback, Hughes has told police that the man they arrested did not stab him.

Police arrested sophomore Messai Belayneh and charged him with assault, even though Hughes said Belayneh did not stab him.
