Notre Dame Police Will Arrest Anyone

As reported by ESPN, 37 Notre Dame Students were arrested last weekend including football players Will Yeatman and Mike Golic, but they failed to report the manner in which these arrests were made.

The college party was at the "Girl's Lacrosse House," and without notifying the house members of any reported noise complaints, at least 10 cop cars from South Bend Police, Excise Police (Drug and Alcohol), and St. Joseph County Police arrived at the house. Among the cars were two large police vans, indicating that the police were hell-bent on making arrests instead of issuing appropriate citations.

Apparently, the police entered from the lower level, surprising the evil underage drinkers. How the police gained entry to the house is still questionable. Those students charged with resisting arrest attempted to hide in the closet, but they were probably just trying to locate the vacuum to clean up the house.

Will Yeatman, who has been all over ESPN for being arrested, was charged with minor in consumption; however, witnesses say his BAC was a .02 when police tested him, equal to roughly one beer or some Listerine.

The most horrifying anecdote of this tale was that an underage girl who lived in the house had gone to sleep early that night (without drinking), and police used crowbars to break open her door and arrest her along with the others. What has this city's agenda come to? It's obvious that student's rights take a back seat to potential cash flows for the police departments. Since when does underage drinking even warrant an arrest instead of the typical drinking ticket for minor in consumption and do 20 year olds really deserve criminal records for sipping a beer, or merely sleeping?
