Despite droves of college students running off to Amsterdam to smoke pot, the United States, with all its strict drug laws in tow, still manages to lead the global race to the top of the substance abuse list.
Researchers of the World Health Organization (WHO) found some amazing statistics concerning Americans consumption of blow and other health deteriorating substances. Americans lead in the rate of cocaine use, marijuana consumption, alcohol use and tobacco smoking. The real gem in this research is that more affluent countries have higher rates of substance abuse.
Ultimately, if your country is a leader in the global economy, then there’s a higher chance that its people are addicted to some substance.
Nice.
We get to spread democracy and sniff coke?!?!
