Yesterday, scout.com reported that 6'8" power foward Josh Crittle has committed to play basketball at Oregon, making him the team's 4th commit in the 2008 class.
The class already featured two of Illinois' best high school players in shooting guard Mathew Harper and center Michael Dunnigan. Scout has the 6'9" Dunnigan listed as the third-best center prospect in the country while the 6'5" Harper is listed as the 16th-best shooting guard in the country (as well as being one of espn.com's top 50 prospects).
The fourth member of the '08 class is 6'6" Drew Wiley, a 4-star top 20 small forward from Vida, Oregon.
At a glance, this class looks awfully similar to the group Oregon signed in '04, which featured the likes of Malik Hairston, Maarty Leunen and Bryce Taylor - all 3 of which are seniors with a great chance at All-Pac and potentially All-American honors this year.
Let's hope Oregon's newest class can carry the torch from the '04s and reach an Elite Eight of their own one day.
