Today students had the rare pleasure of seeing the leaves drop from the Ginkgo trees behind Eads, between Olin and Duncker/Ridgely. Though when the females trees drop fruit they create a horrendous smell, it is amazing to watch the leaves change from green to gold in a short amount of time in the fall.
Then - all at once, sometimes overnight - the leaves all drop from the trees. They create a pretty yellow carpet (that the TopCare workers will no doubt be forced to clean up tomorrow).
