Lewis Black comes back to UMD

Lewis Black and his roots of evil are on their way to College Park. He will be the headliner of this years Homecoming Comedy Show, brought to the University by SEE. The show is tomorrow night at 8pm at Cole Field House - like usual. Also, don't forget that their will be a pep rally proceeding the show which promises to be a terrible disappointment like usual. Anyway, the show should be awesome and with the election coming up, Black's politically charged humor should be quit ethe treat.

Not only is this looking like a promising show, but what you may not know is that this is somewhat of a hometown show. Black was raised in Silver Spring (only a short drive/metro ride away) and was also once enrolled in the University. He spent a year as a Terrapin before transerring  down south to UNC. Anyway, in an interview with The Diamondback, Black had some interesting things to say:

"When I was there, if somebody had raised a monkey and shaved it, it would have gotten in," Black said. "Maryland really was a different institution, and it's much tougher to get into than when I went to school."

And on what to expect from the show:

"Just get ready for a life-changing experience."

He will be performing with Jim Bowman and Greg Giraldo - both funny comedians in their own. Tickets are $7 for the bowl and $15 for the floor. Check out SEE for more details.
