Michelle Obama kicked off the Democratic National Convention yesterday with a speech that many political pundits and College Democrats agree was emotional, interesting, informative and – above all else – sincere.

To win over the hearts of the masses, one must invoke a universal symbol, such as the family, that everyone can understand and relate to, and Michelle did that in spades.

With countless stories about her father, daughter and husband, the presidential hopeful’s wife invited listeners into her personal life and appeared to be just like the rest of us -- a hardworking who is simply living the American Dream.

Tonight, Hillary Clinton will take the stage, and the eyes of the College Democrats of American will be upon her. What will she say? No one knows, but expect her speech to be heavily scrutinized, as she took forever to concede to Barack Obama a few months ago.
