Out of state tuition is astronomical and one way to cut the cost is to become and Oregon resident. To become and Oregon resident you must satisfy a long list requirements and after being only a part time student for a year, among many other things, Shannon Mickelwait finally became an Oregon resident (originally from Hawaii). Here, we had an Oregon themed party to recognize Shannon as an official Oregonian.
