Whether you’re new to the Gator nation or a 5th year senior, it never hurts to keep abreast of new developments on campus.

First and foremost, this might be the best thing to happen to UF since they brought Starbucks to campus. That’s right, kids. We now have our very own Moe’s at the Racquet Club Dining Center. Rejoice!

Speaking of the racquet club, if you’re thinking that you’ll hit the gym while everyone else is busy with back to school, think again. It sounds good in theory, but when most students are thinking the exact same thing, it doesn’t quite pan out. The first couple of weeks of classes is precisely when everyone and their mom decides this year they’re going to commit to working out and they’re going to get a head start on losing those summer pounds. Wait two weeks before you get on that treadmill or take that kick boxing class and you’ll thank me.

Another improvement to our campus and town, the RTS buses now have GPS! So you can track your bus without having to wait like an **** in 90 degree weather for half an hour.

If you want some free entertainment, you can hit up Gator Nights every Friday and Saturday at the Reitz Union. Students can enjoy popcorn, an almost new movie, and midnight breakfast at no cost to you with your Gator 1 card. Of course, if you don’t want people to think you’re a loser, you should do something better with your Saturday nights. If you think I’m being harsh, go there. Just once. You’ll see social rejects from all walks of life.

For a less dorky free date on perhaps a less ideal night, you can hit Gator Cinemas in the middle of the week. While Gator Nights has all the blockbusters, the midweek movies are usually of the critically acclaimed variety.

And if you're looking for something awesome to do tonight, the party is at Prive,Whiskey Lounge, Moon, and Plasma who are hosting the first official Day Glow paint party. Wear white and get there early.
