"Zombie Tag" is All the Rage on Rochester, NIU, Ball State Campuses

This is just. Wow.

A group of students at the Rochester Institute of Technology have invented a game called “Zombie Tag” and it’s somehow catching on at similarly nerdy colleges across the country like NIU and Ball State. The premise is simple enough. There are two teams, humans, and zombies. Humans carry massive nerf guns and zombies have defensive cardboard squares and headbands. Yeah, just like the movies.

Anyways, the zombies sprint at  the humans in waves, dodging Nerf bullets and balled up socks (?). If they manage to reach the human cluster and bite (tag) someone, they become a zombie. Now, not just a regular goof-off in the diag game, Zombie Tag can involve hundreds of players and can last up to 24 hours as wave after wave of zombies try to consume all humans.

The last man standing gets the high honor of….well, I don’t know. Not getting laid? Well, actually I think everyone wins that prize.

Check out the official zombie tag website here, and a video of the game in action below. It looks about as cool as it sounds, which is really not cool at all. This would be way more legit if they had full zombie makeup and painball guns.
