Greeks of the Week: Pike

Greeks of the Week: Pike
"Don't worry, Billy promised this picture wouldn't end up on the internet!"

Pike is known at Vanderbilt as the "coke frat", although they don't actually do (much) more coke than the majority of the other fraternities. What makes Pike stand out is the sketchy manner in which they offer partiers the substance--but hey, they're just generous guys. Pike has also developed the reputation for being generally sleazy--but this is also not (completely) true. The majority of the brothers are no shadier than any other frat-bros, but those who do skank do it very well. Pike's also known as one of the "better" frats: good-looking, well-dressed (although not in the obnoxiously fratty way), and always available with beer (if you have breasts)--a frat other frat boys love to hate.

Pike has been chose for this week's Greeks of the Week for their party wit: their past two themes (advertised by giant hanging canvases across the house's porch) have been "Friday Night Pikes" and "Pikes of the Caribbean." Those returning to Vanderbilt know that at least 10 other plays on the word Pike are to come this school year.

Oh Pike. So funny, yet so simple.
