On 4/20 when most people are out blazing it up to celebrate Bob Marley's birthday, CAB (Campus Activities Board) held a concert at the Pier (due to the rain). The concert featured two local bands. Remington opened and their songs were decent. The band members were extremely nice and played with enthusiasm although there were maybe 20 people out in the audience. The Bridge chilled in the back munching on pizza and salads. They were very courteous and cheered for their fellow aspiring musicians. The music was alright and all around it was a nice experience to listen to new bands trying to make it big.

Prior to the concert, CAB also held the Taste of Richmond event. It featured local restaurants catering free food to students to give them a taste of what dining options are available outside of campus. The food was excellent and the students kept streaming in. Something about FREE FOOD just gets everyone to come out. It took less than 45 minutes for all the vendors to run out of food and led to students turning around in disappointment. They featured foods from Buz and Ned's BBQ, Mosaic's, and Baker's Crust. I only sampled the bbq and mosaic's before it all disappeared, and from what I had I'd definitely love to go to those restaurants when I get the chance to.

Kudos to CAB for putting on some great events.
