Less than a week after the New York Times published an opinion piece by Senator Barack Obama on his Iraq policy, Senator John McCain submitted a response to the newspaper's editors only to be rejected by his former primary campaign endorser. The Times claimed that they were merely following the standard procedure of a back and forth communication with the writer of a pending submission.
Yet from what OTR hears, the op-ed editor found McCain's piece unacceptable for publishing due to a countless number of errors that any average college student could have picked up. For shame, McCain. For shame.
