Welcome to the world of the dodgy random...

They tend to travel alone or break off from a larger group to prey on close knit groups of friends out for a drink. The greater proportion of girls to guys in your group, the more prone you are to an attack. They infiltrate the group and attempt to assimilate because they too are just like you, out for a night on the town, only they are 12 drinks ahead of you and pushing their charm on anything that moves.
They are propelled by the false courage brought on by cheap drinks and being caught up in the fervor that is a Thursday night.
Variations of the dodgy random are also known to show up to small gatherings in apartments lured by the hope of free alcohol.
It is possible to be just a random. Someone you meet over the course of the night. But most of the time these randoms evolve into the dodgy random.
Exhibit A, pictures above, is a straight case of a dodgy random. He approached our group like a bat out of hell and proceed to attempt to make himself the life of the party, fueled by 3 dollar rum and cokes from the bar. At one point this guys realized we were laughing and photographing him and proceed to lean over and inquire if these would end up on facebook.
The answer is of course yes, it's the computer age bitch.
Why mock you between a group of friends when the entire internet can be let in on the joke too.
