OTR Wishes You A Happy Rosh Hashanah

OTR Wishes You A Happy Rosh Hashanah

Starting at sundown tonight, Rosh Hashanah 2008 will begin. That’s the Jewish New Year for all you laymen. It’s basically a time for family and food… and getting ready to be sorry, very sorry.

Exactly ten days after Rosh Hashanah is Yom Kippur, one of the holiest days of Jewish year. During this time you’re supposed to be atoning for all your sins, so that you’ll be written in the Book of Life for the next year. For this reason, it’s best to get all the debauchery out of the way before the holidays.

So for all of you celebrating tonight, enjoy your Rosh Hashanah. For everyone else, crack open a bottle of Manischewitz and join in on the fun. It’s just like the regular New Years Eve except without the endless counting down, dropping of a shiny ball, getting sloppy drunk and then regretfully hooking up with a not-so-hottie at midnight. But otherwise, it’s practically the same.
