A US Airways jet has crashed into the Hudson River in NYC after hitting a bird shortly after takeoff from LaGuardia. The bird somehow took out two engines, plunging the plane into the water. Injury and death reports are forthcoming, but judging by this picture, it seems promising that a large number or possibly all of the passengers miraculously escaped unscathed. 

OTR's offices are minutes away from the Hudson, so obviously this has us shaken up a bit. I already recieved phone calls from three family members asking if I'm OK, despite the fact I would have zero reason to be either in a plane or in the Hudson River today. 

We hope that everyone managed to get out safely, and we'll report more details as they come in.
