Ode to Natty Lite

Ode to Natty Lite

Ode to Natty Lite

It’s been three years since the day we met,
I was shy, and don’t know why I saw you as a threat
You, sat in that red solo cup, how could I forget
When they said chug I thought I’d be upset
But you held my hand, and took it slow,
And now 3 years later, I have no regrets.

Because you, weren’t exactly what I thought you’d be
You got along with my stomach when I thought you’d disagree
And look at us now,
celebrating this jubilee
Count it
One, two, and this year makes three
…Because you complete me.

You got me through the hard times
You were with me through the bad
And eased my pain when I was sad
You even understood when I was mad
You’ve become the family I never had.

So here’s to you,
An ode that is long due
Oh, how the time flew!
All of college you got me through
But before I graduate, unfortunately it is true,
I just wanted to bid a fair adieu.

As you will influence the next freshman that comes in
With many more problems for you to mend
And new memories you’ll make to the very end
But we have to move on now, and comprehend
That after college I will probably have more money to spend
And imported beers, I’ll probably befriend.

Cheers!
