It’s the intro to a thousand porn movies, many of which Kaleb Tierce probably watched at some point:
“Ashley, you’re failing my class.”
“Oh, professor, what can I can do to get my grades up?”
"I'm sure we can think of something."
But as it turns out, real life is not like porn. Shocking, I know. This is especially the case when the professor is actually a high school teacher and the hot co-ed is actually an underage high school student. Kaleb Tierce, a teacher at Jim Ned High in Tuscola, Texas is now facing third degree felony charges after allegedly soliciting students for a “grades for sex” policy.
The investigation was sparked by a complaint over a book Tierce required his ninth-grade class to read. The book, ‘Child of God’ by Cormac McCarthy, was about a murderer who had sex with his victim’s bodies. A 14-year-old’s parents complained to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office that the material was too graphic for teens. Tierce was not charged with providing harmful material to a minor.
During the investigation into the book complaints, allegations surfaced that Tierce and a former student has an “inappropriate relationship.” He also allegedly asked another student “what she would be willing to go for a better grade” and asked a third girl for “sexual favors.” All of the encounters happened in 2005.
New allegations have surfaced recently concerning attempted sexual relationships with students. He surrendered to authorities Friday and was released on a $30,000 bond. The report ends with “his contract was not renewed for the current school year.” Really? Didn’t all this start in 2005? Did they just want to wait it out and see where this whole “sex for grades” thing was going? Absolutely ridiculous.
