Could Vince Young be the next Britney Spears? The popstar had a well-publicized meltdown last year and now Young, a fellow southerner, may not be far behind.
 

Young, an alum of University of Texas, is the current quarterback of the Tennessee Titans. The football star’s mental health has been the subject of debate since Sunday’s Titan game against Jacksonville. After throwing an interception in the fourth quarter, Young was visibly upset and temporarily refused to go back into the game.
 

Since then the concern has only escalated. WKRN.com reports:

In a statement released Tuesday, the Titans said they received a call from those closest to Young Monday night saying he left his house around 7 p.m. abruptly and without his cell phone in a "state of mind that had them concerned."

Not having all the facts the Titans said they contacted Metro police to "make them aware of the situation" and "ask for their assistance in locating Vince."

Police issued a be-on-the-lookout for Young.

Negotiators were placed on standby and special resource officers were called in to check area hotels to see if Young had checked in.

Young was eventually found at a friend’s house and met with Coach Jeff Fisher at team headquarters around midnight. After the meeting, the Titan staff said there was nothing to worry about and everything was a-okay.
 

But if a midnight emergency meeting is called every time you leave the house without your cell phone, suffice it to say, everything is not a-okay.
