Hard working, students opened up a candy store to display their "course work??"
This unique two-week long course allows lucky students to experiment with candy in all of its glory. The official name for this UW-Madison course is Confectionary Technology, but is loving known as the "Candy Camp" class.
The course is offered once a year. and the National Confectioners Association (yes, it exists) brings candy executives (I know, it sounds like an underground child pornography ring) to show students how to make delectable, sweet treats to share with the willing UW-Madison community.
New news to me, but apparently this candy camp has gained popularity. The "Candy Camp" class will have another session in July.
I guess we should all sign up, and get some credits for d-icking around with chocolate and nuts (wait, that sounds like something college students are already involved in).
Another reason why UW-Madison rocks, and other schools suck.
