Ripe Produce: Six Must Read UVM Stories

Yes, Burlington, Vermont gets a lot of sunshine and a nice breeze from Lake Champlain, but there seems to be a shadow cast on the UVM campus. No worries, the auditors are taking care of it as we speak.

*We reported it to you first -- the millions of dollars being shelled out to a data management firm for our “benefit.” Now, the whole deal with the “consultants” is under investigation.

* The UVM Catamounts have chosen the women’s soccer team for 2012! Check out the newcomers on the Catamount website.

* An unhappy fraternity member reams the Residence Life director, Annie Stevens, while others spew mixed abhorrence at the state of the slop served as food.

* Some Vermonters are considering secession as an option (more than 50% of them think the U.S. has lost it’s moral authority). UVMer explains why secession is not an option.

* A new director of admissions is selected. Her name is Elizabeth Wiser, otherwise known as the person who's in charge of getting us more hippies.

*Miguel Magrass, a former UVM Catamount baseball player, gets off to an amazing start in his professional baseball career.

I'm confused by your secession link. The main article, which was not written for the neo-nazi website you linked to, merely reposted there, as in favor of secession, and was actually listing the obstacles and fears that Vermont Secession would have to overcome and soothe to succeed. The next comment on that site is against the movement. Isn't having a neo-nazi against something a vote of confidence? Posted 06/21/2008 10:07 AMReply
