Fifteen Minutes and Counting

Pitzer's media studies class, "Learning from YouTube," has been making headlines around the country. According to the Associated Press, it's the first-ever YouTube-based class. People can't figure out whether to get on board or to laugh at the new seminar format. (Then again, when has Pitzer been known for academic rigor?)

Classes and class assignments are posted on YouTube, as are miscellaneous student videos. Postings thus far have been about everything from juggling to racism. The public is encouraged to participate as well.

By next week, the world will have no clue where the Claremont Colleges are. But for the next fourteen-a-half minutes, Pitzer headlines will continue leading us through the limelight. if you squint, you just might be able to see it.
