GOP Calls Doyle UW E-Mail Unethical

Some republican lawmakers are complaining that Governor Doyle's e-mail to 33 UW students inviting their participation in a press conference scheduled for Tuesday was inconvenient unethical.

In the midst of the state budget controversy, Gov. Doyle invited 33 students still waiting for financial aid due to the monetary hold up to appear at the press conference so they could speak out about the effect of the budget stalemate on their personal financial aid situation.

GOP Rep. Nass wasn't having this, claiming the governor is looking to use the students as "political pawns at the press conference."  What Nass doesn't realize is that he can play some political chess too, by inviting some students who've been helped by the stalemate.

Anyone?
