Legislator Stages 24/7 Sit-In at Capitol
You know things are bad when even the legislators are staging sit-ins.

With the state budget over 110 days overdue, state Rep. Tom Nelson announced Thursday that he will stay at his desk 24/7 until a budget passes the Assembly and Senate. The idea was sparked after Nelson read a newspaper article about a UW-Green Bay student who was denied financial aid due to the budget impasse. Naturally, the next step was to stage a sit-in.

Not everyone applauds Nelson's efforts. Assembly Speaker Mike Huebsch said the one man sit-in would have no impact on budget negotiations, and that it was likely just a way for Nelson to gain media attention.

Sit on, Nelson. Sit on.
