Madison Residents Seen Floating on Clouds of Enlightenment.  Until They Trip on Them.
It appears that two-story beer bongs weren’t enough to bring enlightenment to Madison students.

Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, graced the Madison community with a series of talks recently, most on human compassion and caring. Ten thousands students and community members filled the local stadium.

And the next day? The annual Mifflin Street Block party, where twice as many kids showed up to inebriate themselves to the point of oblivion before supper time.

We all know that binge drinking crushes recent memories like an old can. If only his holiness could bless us all with a soft-spoken guide to responsible enjoyment of beverages.
