UW-Madison Student is a Heartless Pyromanic

UW-Madison Student is a Heartless Pyromanic
All I can ask is, “WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING?”

Maybe he’s just a thoughtless idiot, but I’m glad Max Korman is facing felony property damage charges. Did he really not know how much havoc he was going to raise by setting off the sprinkler system in student housing?

For those who don’t know, back in April Max thought it would be smart/funny to set off the fire alarms at the University House Towers. As the emergency sprinklers drenched the entire building, Max casually strolled back to his apartment. Security cameras caught him in the act, and now (haha sucker!) officials are going make him take responsibility for the $20,000 worth of damage he causes.

Not only did he ruin everyone’s stuff, he ruined our sleep. When the alarms went off at 2am, 400 kids had to haul ass out of bed. They were stuck outside for hours while the fire department tried to put out the mess.

According to an article in today’s Daily Cardinal, Korman could face up to three years and six months in jail for the felony charge and up to nine months in prison for the misdemeanor charge or fines of $10,000.

I hope he get every single second of jail time. Our school doesn’t need punk-a*s kids like him hanging around.

You're a ****ing idiot. I'm sure you're perfect. Why would you wish jail time on someone who set off a sprinkler? I hope you get a cucumber shoved up your ass. Our school doesn't need punk kids like you hanging around. Posted 05/07/2008 09:48 AMReply

This news is a terrible tragedy, absolutely shocking. Not only did stuff get wet, people had to wait outside and were unable to return to their comfortable rooms for several hours. This is a disgusting affront to society. In addition to paying the cost of these damages in full, he should be put in a state prison for this heineous act. This young man's destructive behavior is a serious threat to our school. Never mind the fact that a young girl was recently murdered in Madison, this is the real crime. I'm glad someone is courageous enough to speak out against this sadistic punk. Surely, we can all rest easier and feel safer after this violent offender is behind bars and off the streets.

By the way, I'm not sure what your familiarity with the English language is, but "I hope he get" is not considered proper grammar. Also, "pyromanic" isn't even a word.

This article is outrageous. I am so terribly sorry that on a weekend night your precious sleep was disturbed but now this person, who made a simple mistake like anyone of us could is ****ed. He is facing massive financial penalties and potentially jail time. On top of that its real nice that a stuck up towers **** like yourself feels the need to add to his suffering. He has taken responsibility for his actions which is more than most people would do. It was a wise move doing this anonymously, real easy to talk when you dont have to stand behind your words. Ever made a mistake PajamaNinja? My guess would be yes, and i bet your mistake inconvenienced someone else. Guess you deserve jail time too, right? If he pays his debts is there really much more he should have to do? Does this inconvenience really warrant jail time, honestly? Think before you speak, idiot. Posted 05/07/2008 8:02 PMReply

heartless? i'm sure he did all this with the intention of screwing people over. a pyromaniac? the kid didn't even start a fire... are you aware of how little fire comes out of a lighter? THIS KID IS A GOD AMONG MEN. WE WILL NEVER FORGET MAX KORMAN, THE MAN WHO SACRIFICED IT ALL FOR THE GOOD OF MANY.

This is prob the most inhumane thing i have ever heard... Honestly if this kid is still on campus, im transferring... There is no place for behavior like this and i feel like everyone at UW is in great danger Posted 05/07/2008 8:57 PMReply

i blame the parents. you know the saying "spare the rod, spoil the child". well obviously mr. and mrs. korman didn't believe in punishment. (hippies) well there you have it a perfect example of hippie culture ruining our society. we need to punish this kid to the full extent of the law...and then some. i say anyone who was inconvinienced by this animal gets to take him out back and beat him with a belt. that will teach this absolute monster some respect for authority. then we kick him off campus and not let him in the state of wisconsin ever again.

No matter what forum or blog i am on we are always talking about ****ing 5 stars.. Every single one. Look we recruit character kids with big upside... People need to understand that this is how it works at UW. Be happy with the 4 star offensive guard, cuz quite frankly, thats all ur ever gonna get...

So wait, why doesn't Bo get five stars? I've read you need five stars to win a national championship..... Incase you were wondering, UW won't particpate in any blackouts this year. Black is ugh. Are there any horse socks? Is anybody listening to me? Posted 05/07/2008 9:40 PMReply

"Did he really not know how much havoc he was going to raise by setting off the sprinkler system in student housing?" Honestly? Probably not. I would never have imagined that much water could come out of one sprinkler. I think it's safe to say that he didn't either. Thoughtless, sure, I'd bet he never thought it would do such damage. But a felony jail sentence? That's absurd.

Additionally, I'm amazed that 400 college students were in bed at 2 am. Actually, I'm a little disappointed.

What type of heartless pyromaniac would set these two young women on fire? For shame! Posted 09/15/2008 10:13 PMReply

I can explain all of this.

He's my cousin. =\

Basically, he wanted to do it to prove that he's not as wimpy as everyone said he is. You all don't have to go badass on him.

Plus, he did not serve jail time. And also, to all who said that his parents must be hippies, they're not. They gave him very bad consequences. He faced the repercussions.
