Michigan Students Welcomed Back With Single Digit Temperature

Michigan Students Welcomed Back With Single Digit Temperature
Coming back to school for classes only two days after New Years was cruel, but when you add this kind of weather its downright torturous. It’s so cold out that my outtie almost turned into an innie, and I’m not talking about my belly button. The University of Michigan has among the shortest winter breaks of all state schools, though that may be change. A petition was put out by MSA recently to extend winter break by a week and push spring break one week forward. The lost week would be tacked on at the end of April.

It’s true that the weather won’t be that much better in one week from now, but the change would cheapen airline tickets returning to Detroit and align Spring Break with other schools. That way, when you get to Acapulco, you won’t have to contract Chlamydia from the natives, you can contract it from other American college students like yourselves.

actually for next year (08-09) there is no need for this petition. We already have three full weeks of winter break and don't start winter semester until Jan 7. it just happened the way the calendar worked out...how handy Posted 01/04/2008 5:02 PMReply
