Every summer big feature films take over the silver screens – movies that are full of action and superheroes flying around a concrete metropolis. But this summer, there’s a movie that will tell the story of what we all know best – college. Directed by Deb Hagan, College is the story of a group of three high school seniors who embark on a weekend visit to a nearby college. On their trip, the trio become the “pre-frosh” pledges of a fraternity, become involved with some sorority singles and get themselves into some sticky situations.
Although it’s not a new idea, college-related movies have always been fan favorites. Who can forget that scene from Old School where Will Farrell’s character is streaking down the street while his wife drives by? And of course, any given scene from Animal House.
The movie stars Nickelodeon golden boy Drake Bell with Andrew Caldwell and Kevin Covais. College will hit theaters in late August coinciding with that time of year when high school seniors move into their college dorms and make the transition to college freshmen. “College” will hit theaters on August 29 and maybe it will join Animal House, Old School and Accepted on the college movie pedestal.
