Penn's Popified Christmakkah Dance Party Playlist

As finals dwindle down and everyone is basking in their newfound, multiple-choice-free existence what is the NUMBER ONE thing that everyone really wants to do, besides get wasted? Have a dance party, of course!

As we learned from the Fisher Fine Arts dancers, bopping around to either real or imaginary music can do a studier a world of good. However, I can’t sit back and allow any of my peers to jump around their dorm rooms listening to Matchbox Twenty (nothing against them – they just aren’t very boppable). And, seeing as it’s the holidays, I think the most appropriate dance party right about now would need to include some yuletide cheer – but not the yuletide cheer of your grandparents, oh no. This is the 21st century, when pop artists have conquered the world of dance parties – even holiday ones. That being said, this is the Popified Christmakkah Dance Party Playlist

1.) Merry Christmas – *Nsync
If you have a problem with boy band-ish Christmas songs you should probably stop reading right about now…

2.) Let it Snow Let it Snow – Jessica Simpson
Yes, she’s quite annoying. But come on, Christmas is no time to be a music snob.

3.) Jump (For My Love) – Pointer Sisters

Not a Christmas song per say, but I think anything on the Love Actually soundtrack is fair game.

4.) Santa Clause is Coming to Town – Jump5
A hilariously pop-y remix. Like really funny. For those of you who just can’t bear to listen to it, the Bruce Springsteen cover is always a classic.

5.) Feliz Navidad – Cheetah Girls
You may just need to listen for yourself…not even sure what I can say about this one.

6.) The Hannukah Song – Adam Sandler
Clearly you can’t actually dance to this, but it was the only acceptable Hannukah song I could find on iTunes. Anyone else offended by and/or want to change this?

7.) All I Want for Christmas is You - Mariah Carey

Obviously.
