Snurf Pills: Like Ecstasy, but Herbal, and Therefore Safe, Right?

Snurf Pills: Like Ecstasy, but Herbal, and Therefore Safe, Right?

Four students from Council Rock High School in Philadelphia have been hospitalized for overdosing on an herbal supplement. Yes, you heard correctly, even mother nature can mess you up if you're an idiot. The students bought "snurf pills" online, which has left everyone wondering, what the hell are smurf pills? Well the student officials did some dilligent reserach by reading the packaging:

"From the information on the packaging, we understand that SNURF is an herbal supplement with mood altering properties. We strongly recommend that anyone in possession of these pills dispose of them immediately."

Wait a second, the packaging told you it was a mood altering herbal supplement? Oh and the pills are small and pink? Yeah no that's just called ecstasy right there. But further Googling proves them right:

"(Snurf pills) generally consist of pure dextromethorphan, or DXM, a drug found in many cough syrups that can act as a hallucinogen if taken in large doses."

So were the kids tripping balls when they were hauled away? No, they just were violently, violently ill. Well it looks like snurf pills won't be catching on any time soon. But that's what they said about oxycontin...
