State Street Construction: A Pain in the Ass

State Street Construction: A Pain in the Ass
A shot of State Street taken yesterday afternoon.

There's a saying around here.  In Wisconsin, there are only two seasons: winter and construction.  Well, winter is over folks, and construction season is in full bloom.

I think we can all agree to endure the noise and dirt for the beautification of the campus/downtown area, but that doesn't mean we can't complain about it.  It's bad enough that I can't walk down the street without getting Kansas' "Dust in the Wind" in my head (sadly I am not kidding), but with the wind in full force this week, walking to class was less a leisurely stroll down State and more like braving a sandstorm.  Should we need goggles to get to class?  I also am not a fan of having a desert on my lips when I reach my destination.  Chapstick = glue.  Not good.

Any day now.  I'm waiting for them.  The sandworms.  Note to self:  Watch "Tremors" to find out how to kill those things again.
