UW-Madison students will be pleased to hear their tuition dollars are being spent wisely.
It was recently announced two UW-Madison assistant professors are studying fantasy leagues, including their own, in a new research project “aimed at understanding how both expert and novice players approach the game and what it can teach us about how people learn.”
Translation: They figured out a way to play fantasy baseball at work, while getting paid for it.
I hear their next research endeavor is analyzing the “Saved by the Bell” official fansite to understand how expert and novice fans react to Dustin Diamond’s recent “Celebrity Fit Club” stint, and what it can teach us about how people with no lives react on virtual fansites about 80s TV shows.
Sounds just as useful.
