2) David Rockefeller. Being the grandson of oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller gives you lots of money to burn. Luckily, David Rockefeller decided to be generous and donate $100 million to Harvard University.
3) Ed McMahon. Ed McMahon made millions from announcing Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show and hosting Star Search. He donated at least $1 million to Quinnipiac University, his daughter’s alma mater.
4) Murray Lender. The genius behind Lender’s Bagels also made a generous donation to Quinnipiac University, his alma mater.
5) Fred Eshelman. This philanthropist and his wife have donated at least $20 million to the pharmacy school at UNC-Chapel Hill.
