1) David Falk. Best known as being Michael Jordan’s agent, this cool dad donated $5 million to Syracuse University, his alma mater.

2) David Rockefeller. Being the grandson of oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller gives you lots of money to burn. Luckily, David Rockefeller decided to be generous and donate $100 million to Harvard University.

3) Ed McMahon. Ed McMahon made millions from announcing Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show and hosting Star Search. He donated at least $1 million to Quinnipiac University, his daughter’s alma mater.

4) Murray Lender. The genius behind Lender’s Bagels also made a generous donation to Quinnipiac University, his alma mater.

5) Fred Eshelman. This philanthropist and his wife have donated at least $20 million to the pharmacy school at UNC-Chapel Hill.

6) Ernest Butler. This other philanthropist recently donated $55 million to the music school at UT-Austin.

7) Walter Wang. Yet another noted philanthropist, he and his wife donated $1 million to UCLA’s Asian Studies Center.

8) Laurence D. Fink. He is the Chairman and CEO of BlackRock Financial Management Inc. who graduated from UCLA. This year, he donated $10 million to the school.
