Freakonomics Author Comes To Vanderbilt

Freakonomics Author Comes To Vanderbilt

Have you ever asked yourself "What do schoolteachers and sumo wrestlers have in common?" How about "Why do drug dealers still live with their moms?" Or "How is the Ku Klux Klan like a group of real estate agents?"

Well, if you (and certainly, even if you haven't), Vanderbilt has a speaker for you to check out. Stephen Dubner, co-author of my favorite non-fiction book, Freakonomics, will be speaking at 7pm on November 18th in the Student Life Center ballroom. Dubner will adress questions from his book as well as other fun facts regarding life, all the while attempting to answer what he sees as life's greatest question--"how do people get what they want or need, especially when other people want or need the same thing?"

Tickets are free on the card. And since sorority girls (and thus, fraternity boys) can't go out on November 18th anyway (the night before Fall Rounds), we expect quite the slightly stoned turnout.
