Lost: The Nashville Edition

Lost: The Nashville Edition
If you are the rugged, outdoorsy type, then you would definitely (maybe) enjoy tubing on the Harpeth.

The Harpeth River is not far from Vanderbilt campus, and if you're lucky, you will get stranded on a bank of the river after dark with only a bar of cell phone battery left--that is, if you even have your phone and also, your phone must be as awesome as my phone, meaning it's waterproof (take that, iPhone!).

So if you go tubing on the Harpeth, take food, phone, alcohol, some sort of light source, and definitely lighters.  Waterproof lighters.  Many of them.  And leave early.  And if you get stranded, build a fire, call 911, and wait for the helicopter that will come searching for you.

Also, you will realize that you only had about 200 more yards until you reached your destination.  But it's okay--it's a survival challenge.

So, if you decide to go tubing on the Harpeth River, don't.  Take a canoe instead.

That is, unless you would enjoy being stranded in the dark.  And if you do decide to go tubing on the Harpeth, when the volunteer firemen rescue you, tell them that Izzy said hello.
