We are definately wondering who was accepted. Our daughter did not even get wait listed, she was denied. She had a 1570 (out of 1600 - 2290 overall) on the SAT, 11 varsity letters (every season since 9th grade), Team captain, created and President of the Native American Student Union, in National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, National Latin Honor Society and VP of the Art National Honor Society, grades were stellar and took every AP class offered (and did well). The incoming freshman class of 2008 must be amazing. Good Luck to all.
Commodore Girl says: Maybe the reasons your daughter didn't get admitted to this university are her pretentious and obnoxious genes. We have enough douchebags at Vanderbilt, thank you very much. Enjoy Wake Forest, Anonymous Junior!

I still do not understand why and how you do not rank your waiting list. It defies logic and keeps students on the tenterhook. Enjoy Nashville while those waitlisted cringe and hope for a miracle. I know that you are wishing for a zero accpetance rate. That would traelly boost your ego.
Commodore Girl says: Anonymous, you are pretty lucky that we here at Vanderbilt do not rank our waiting list. We are a student body  that prides ourselves on knowing how to spell "acceptance" and "really" (or did you mean to say "truly?"), and any ranked list would certainly place you on the bottom.

Meanness aside though--people love us! Enough to comment anonymously on the Vanderbilt blog rather than spend their free time writing appeal letters, or considering attending elsewhere.
Hehe.
