Popularity Contests are Pointless, Especially If They're on Facebook
This guy is a member of Vanderbilt Class of '11.  He has, at the time of writing, 331 Facebook friends at Vanderbilt.  He obviously thinks he's cool.  But let's be honest here.

Vanderbilt prefroshers cannot possibly know over 200 people, probably not even 50 people, at Vanderbilt already.

Vanderbilt Class of 2011, adding everyone as your friend on Facebook will not make you instantly popular upon arriving at Vandy this fall.

Randomly adding people on Facebook is creepy. I realize that it is creepy and continue to add and stalk random people, but only because I also realize I am extremely creepy.

So continue your serial Facebook friending only if you resign to being extremely creepy.

(Edit:  Friend count now up to 349 as of July 11th.)
