According to Time Magazine, the similarities between our dear university and Harry Potter's alma mater are large in number: "An idyllic campus with kindly professors who head the dorms, a dining hall that's a social hub and a living room, interhouse rivalries and organized activities galore...and a Dumbledore-like dean."
The article goes on to (duh) praise The Commons and the $150 million Vanderbilt spent erecting it despite a receding economy and offer insightful comments from Vanderbilt Heads of Houses such as Severus Snape Tony Brown.
Although I couldn't be happier to be compared to Hogwarts (Great Hall vs. The Commons Dining Room, anyone?), would give up my first born to witness a game of Commodore Quidditch, and once spent upwards of 2 hours ranking fraternities on a Gryffindor to Slytherin scale, I can't quite see the relationship between Nicky Zeppos and Albus Dumbledore.
