Two Ithaca high school seniors have unearthed what they deem incontrovertible proof that, indeed, Ithaca is home to the first-ever ice cream sundae.

But avast! Those scurvy-ridden pigs in Two Rivers, Wisconsin insist that they were the first ones to realize that ice cream could be made even more delicious:

"Ithacans contend drugstore owner Chester Platt served up the first sundae - a concoction of vanilla ice cream, cherry syrup and a candied cherry - to a local minister after church on April 3, 1892. Officials in Two Rivers insist the sundae was really born there in 1881 when Edward Berners served a sundae with chocolate sauce and ice cream at a customer's request."

Now this all seems pretty trivial, but actually I'm fighting for Ithaca in this one. Those Wisconsin bastards need to realize they can't go around lying and stealing other people's ideas all the time. They've already stolen cheese from Cheddar, England; land mass from Illinois and Michigan; and Brett Favre from There's Something About Mary.

Besides, neither of these cities even have a case. Everyone knows the first sundae was created in Georgia in 1873 with a little old flavor called Rocky Reconstruction.
